JungleCart doesn't ask for an account, a name, an email, a phone number, or any payment details — because there's no real money and no real store. Your game progress (fake balance, cart, "orders") is saved only in your device's browser storage and is never sent to us. VelaVia runs no server or database that holds your personal data.
The main external data flow is Unity Ads, which serves the in-app ads and, under its own policy, may collect an advertising ID, IP address, and basic device info to show and measure those ads. We don't sell or "share" your data, we don't track you across apps or sites, and we set no analytics cookies.
1 Overview & who we are
JungleCart is a free parody, satire, and novelty entertainment app — a "fake shopping" dopamine game. It is not a real store. Nothing you see in it is for sale, no real money ever changes hands, and nothing ever ships. It is published by VelaVia ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of the JungleCart app, brand, and code. The Android app is distributed on Google Play under the application ID com.velavia.junglespace, and a web version is also available.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app and this marketing website do and — much more often — do not collect, where anything that is collected goes, and the choices you have. Because JungleCart was deliberately built without accounts, logins, or payments, this policy is short on scary surprises and long on reassurance.
Questions about privacy? Email privacy@junglecart.app. For general help, use Support or hello@junglecart.app.
We can't lose what we never collect. The safest personal data is the kind that never leaves your device — and that's how we designed JungleCart from the start.
2 Information we do NOT collect
To be completely clear about the things people usually worry about, here is what JungleCart does not ask for, receive, or store on any server we control:
- No account and no sign-up. There is no registration, no login, and no profile. You can start playing immediately.
- No name, email address, or phone number. The app never requests these to function, and none are required.
- No payment or financial data. There is no payment processing of any kind. Nothing is ever charged, so there are no card numbers, billing addresses, or transaction records.
- No real purchase history. The "orders", carts, and deliveries in the app are fictional theater. There are no real products, orders, shipments, or tracking, so there is no real purchase history to collect.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or media. The Android app requests only the INTERNET permission and nothing else.
- No first-party analytics or tracking. VelaVia sets no tracking pixels, no Google Analytics, and no advertising cookies of its own.
The in-game "fake dollars", coins, and balance have no real-world or monetary value. They are free, and they cannot be cashed out, redeemed, transferred, or exchanged for anything real. The app does not sell them.
3 Information stored only on your device
JungleCart needs to remember things like your fake balance and your language choice so the game works between sessions. It does this using your device's local browser/WebView storage (localStorage). This data lives on your device only. It is never transmitted to VelaVia, and we have no server or database that can read it. To us, it is invisible.
| Storage key | What it holds | Where it lives | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| junglespace-save-v1 | Your game progress: fake balance, cart, fictional "orders", mansion, and streak. | Your device's local storage only. | Until you clear app data or uninstall. |
| jc-lang | The UI language you've chosen. | Your device's local storage only. | Until you clear app data or uninstall. |
| junglespace-catalog-v4 | Cached demo product data (illustrative names and images) so the app loads faster. | Your device's local storage only. | Until you clear app data or uninstall. |
None of this is personal data that VelaVia can see or link to you. It's a game save, not a dossier. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app erases all of it. The app also reads your device language (navigator.language) locally to pick one of 11 UI languages; this reading happens on-device and is not transmitted anywhere.
4 Third-party services that may process data
Although VelaVia itself collects no personal data on a server, a few third-party services are involved in running the app and this website. These are the only external data flows. We describe each one honestly below.
Unity Ads (Unity Technologies / ironSource LevelPlay)
The app shows in-app advertising through Unity Ads. This is JungleCart's main third-party data vector. Per Unity's own policy, Unity may collect a device advertising identifier, your IP address, coarse device and technical information, and ad-interaction data in order to serve and measure ads. This processing is carried out by Unity as described in their policy, not by VelaVia. You can read it here: Unity Game & App Player Privacy Policy. See Section 7 for how to limit this.
Demo product-catalog APIs
To populate the game with illustrative "products", the app fetches images and text from public demo APIs: dummyjson.com, fakestoreapi.com, and world.openfoodfacts.org. Making these requests exposes your device's IP address to those hosts — which is a normal, unavoidable part of any web request. No personal data is sent to them. The product names and images are illustrative demo data, not real inventory.
Google Play
The Android app is distributed and updated through Google Play. Your use of Google Play is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy, over which we have no control.
Google Fonts (this website only)
This marketing website loads web fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). To deliver the fonts, Google may log the request IP address. This site sets no analytics or tracking cookies.
5 Data Safety summary
Here's an at-a-glance summary of common data types and how JungleCart handles each one.
| Data type | Collected by VelaVia? | Shared / where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identity / account (name, email, login) | No | Not collected, not shared | N/A — there is no account |
| Payment / financial data | No | Not collected, not shared | N/A — no real money is ever taken |
| Advertising ID | No (not by VelaVia) | Unity may collect it to serve/measure ads | In-app advertising |
| IP address | No (not stored by VelaVia) | Seen incidentally by ad, demo-API, and font hosts | Delivering ads, demo content, and fonts |
| Device / technical info | No (not by VelaVia) | Unity may collect coarse info for ads | Serving and measuring ads |
| Location | No | Not collected, not shared | N/A — no location permission is requested |
| On-device game data | No (stays local) | Never leaves your device | Saving your game progress locally |
6 The gift-link feature & why we never see it
JungleCart includes a playful prank/gift feature: you can generate a shareable "gift card" link and send it to a friend through your phone's normal operating-system share sheet. The link contains only the text you type — for example, a sender name and a fake amount.
VelaVia does not see, store, or process these links. They're created on your device and handed straight to your phone's share sheet, which is entirely outside our systems. Because the link carries whatever you type into it, please do not put real sensitive or personal information in the name or message fields.
Anything you type into a gift link is shared with whoever you send it to. Keep it fun and fake — no real names, numbers, or private details.
7 Advertising & your choices
Ads in JungleCart are served by Unity Ads (see Section 4). You have direct control over the advertising identifier that ad networks rely on, right from your device settings. On most Android devices, you can:
- Open Settings > Privacy > Ads (the exact path and labels vary by Android version and manufacturer).
- Look for an option like Delete advertising ID (or Reset advertising ID to replace it with a fresh, unlinked one).
- Turn off ad personalization.
Deleting the advertising ID stops apps — including JungleCart's ad partner — from using that persistent identifier to build an ad profile tied to your device. You may still see ads, but they will be less personalized. For the full details of what Unity may collect and how it uses that data, see the Unity Game & App Player Privacy Policy.
8 Children's privacy
JungleCart is intended for a general audience but is not directed to children. Because it displays ads and simulates commerce and gambling-style spin mechanics, we recommend it for users aged 13 and older (and 16 and older in the EEA and UK, where that is the age of digital consent).
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and — as explained throughout this policy — we do not collect personal data server-side from anyone. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app in a way you're concerned about, contact us at privacy@junglecart.app and we'll help however we can. Note that the app stores its game data only on the device, so clearing the app's data or uninstalling it removes everything.
9 Your rights (GDPR / UK-GDPR & CCPA / CPRA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA. We want to be honest about how these apply to JungleCart: because we hold essentially no personal data on any server, most requests are satisfied simply by how the app already works.
- Access, correction, deletion, and portability: VelaVia holds no server-side account or profile to access, correct, delete, or export. The only data associated with your play lives on your own device, and you can view, change, or erase it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling.
- We do not sell or "share" your personal information (as those terms are used under the CCPA/CPRA) for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we never have.
- Opt out of ad data: because advertising data is handled by Unity, the most effective control is to delete or reset your advertising ID and turn off ad personalization in your device settings — see Section 7.
- No discrimination / no need to identify you: we don't require you to identify yourself to use the app, and we won't penalize you for exercising any privacy right.
- Right to complain: EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
If you'd like to make a request or ask how a specific right applies, email privacy@junglecart.app. We may not be able to identify you from any data we hold (because we hold none), so in some cases the honest answer is simply that there's nothing on our side to act on — but we're always happy to explain. The governing law for this policy is the law of [governing-law jurisdiction].
10 Data retention & security
Because JungleCart keeps your game data only on your own device, retention is entirely in your hands. The data persists until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app, at which point it is erased. VelaVia retains no personal data server-side, so there is no VelaVia database to breach, leak, or subpoena.
The security of the on-device data depends on the security of your own device and browser/WebView. For the limited data that third parties (Unity, the demo APIs, Google Play, Google Fonts) process, those parties are responsible for the security of their own systems under their respective policies.
Nothing to breach. There's no user database on our side because we never built one. The best breach response is not needing one.
11 International users
JungleCart is available in multiple regions and supports 11 UI languages. Since VelaVia collects no personal data on a server, there is no international transfer of your personal data by us to describe. Where third parties are involved — for example Unity for ads, or Google for Play distribution and web fonts — those companies may process limited data (such as an IP address) on infrastructure located in various countries, as governed by their own privacy policies. By using the app or this website, you understand that these normal, request-level data flows to third parties may cross borders.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature or if a third-party service changes how it works. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be reflected here. Since there's no account, we can't email you about changes, so we encourage you to check back occasionally. Your continued use of JungleCart after an update means you accept the revised policy.
